Soaring gasoline prices, a horrendous exchange rate between the Euro and the Dollar. Economies imploding. It's too easy to wish that 2008 would just finally lay down its head, but no amount of gloom and doom can diminish my good memories. Paris has been very kind - and unveiled some of her wonders. In fact, the more time I spend in Paris, the more I marvel at still untapped reserve of surprises. Favorite Events: Gay Pride Parade For the first time, we found ourselves in town for the Gay Pride Parade. Normally the word 'fun' is not a word you associate with Paris. The Gay Pride Parade is really FUN! Museum Night Herbie Hancock at La DefenseNot only was this a great event, but it was 100 percent FREE! Fete de la Musique Fete de la Music just gets better every year. World Music with Blick Bassey at the Satellit Cafe This is a world music bar where you can feel instantly at home - no matter how far you travelled to get here. Gregorian Chant at Notre Dame Cathedral Gregorian chant at night - a transcending experience.
